mouse on mars vs. mark e. smith
If you, like me, have always thought that the one thing conspicuously missing from your sweaty booty-shaking dance party was Mark E. Smith, your dreams have come true. German techno funksters Mouse on Mars take what is arguably the best track from their last full-length, "Wipe That Sound" (a song that made my list of Top Booty-Shakers of 2004) and remix it with fucking Mark E. Smith in the "Sound City" remix. Pure fucking genius. The dancefloor will never be the same-uh.

todays youth don't give the mark e. man any respect!
twenty-five years ago, he was rocking dancefloors with "totally wired," and about one year ago, BWVentril refused to leave a certain toasty-booty-sweat-houseparty until the host played the selfsame tune, to the chagrin of one v. cohen!
i also like that, at the end of the song, MES starts saying the name of the song over and over. i imagine that someone in the recording booth was holding a sign reading, "wipe that sound," hoping that, eventually, mark e. would get confused and start saying it.
point taken, dick; MES was making booties shake way back when. BUT, that was The Fall; the allure of the MoM/MES remix is that it sounds like an old cranky toothless man ranting over precise, teutonic techno. whick, or course, it is.
